This is one people I am following who Uploads many tutorials and helpful ways of achieving images and effects.
He is both a Digital and Traditional artist. Who mainly creates scenes and character concepts.
I find his tutorials on you tube extremely helpful because of his commentary which explains why he is doing it and ways to go about it.
His website/blog has lots of helpful things from hot and cold colours to shadowing and getting metallic textures.
I also find his art quite inspirational and makes me want to keep improving on my work.

This is a website which is so easy to get inspiration from , and also look at a diversity in work.
He also has a you tube channel which regularly gets updated with new work, and helps me to understand the design process and new methods for achieving images.

Example of Portfolios.

This is an example of a digital portfolio which I liked .

http://liam887.carbonmade.com/

Things I like about this portfolio.
Well firstly i like the lay out , its simple easy to navigate. Clearly labelled.
Instantly shows a variety of work and with the thumbnail a quick glance at his work , which draws me in  to want to look at it more.
Their is a smaller  wording which says  "work" and "About" at the top which although slightly hard too see and don't stand out(although this could be a bonus not attracting attention away from work.)
This gives a summary of what he is , what he does and what he is into. Helpful if you want freelance work or someone is possibly head hunting.
