things to do

ON BLOG:  CAREER RESEARCH: Three career profiles, annotated (i.e. job description, duties etc. what SKILLS are required; what PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES are required (e.g. creativity, ability to work in a team ….etc.); what the salary range is, what experience is required and so on. Also include 3 actual vacancies of jobs you aspire to.
ON BLOG: An Action Plan for your Personal Development (identify what you need to do to get where you want to be!!)
ON BLOG: HE RESEARCH: selection of 3 courses, details of the course and evidence that you have considered all aspects e.g. what the entry qualifications are, what profile the University has, why the course is suitable for your career progression etc.
ON BLOG: A written “covering” letter to accompany your CV, if replying to an advertised vacancy
ON BLOG: Identify companies that you would like to work for, and write a “covering” letter to accompany your CV, on a speculative basis.
ON BLOG: Evidence of other’s portfolios – critically evaluated
ON BLOG: (and hard copy): Your portfolio

ON BLOG: Evidence of your practice interview activity and understanding of fundamentals that will affect the quality of an interview:
To understand body language and how this affects perceptions
To understand the main elements of an effective interview
To undertake peer observations of interviews via triangulation
